Wedding Invitation with Wildflowers

This is an invitation that S. and G. asked me to illustrate for their wedding.

Their idea for the invitation cards was a design involving wildflowers and weeds in yellow, orange and purple colours as well as a little bee that would go well with the theme of their summertime wedding. At the same time, they wished for the illustration to capture some elements that would resemble parts of their wedding location, thereby creating a connection between the invitation cards and the surroundings of the venue on the day of their wedding. As their cat unfortunately couldn’t attend their wedding, I added him into the illustration as a tiny special detail as well. 

For the artwork, I used ink and watercolours.
